This week l was working with Angela we were making a presentation that talked about the Vile Victorians we used a book that was about Horrible History that had facts and information about Vile Victorians. Our first sidle talks about the names that they would come up with and how Queen Victoria didn't care about children the first sidle also had a video for an example for what names the kids have and teachers. Our next sidle talked about school punishments they went threw if they didn't go to church or messed a day of school teachers would make the worse punishments so that the child would think about what they did and so next time they come to church. The next sidle talks about the school teachers. School teachers back then were really cruel and not nice to the children also woman would get paid more then men. Our last sidle tells you facts and information about Queen Victoria a fact l found interesting was that 20th of June 1987 she was crowed queen. What I found this interesting because we got to learn about the history back in the older days.

Advertising
This week we were learning about Advertising me and my partner Angela created it. Advertising is where you try and convince someone to buy a product you are trying to sell. We used a item from the Rugby World Cup website to advertise something. We chose the 20 union cap because it had all 20 countries who are attending the Rugby World Cup 2019. To make it look more Advertising me added more quotes and different shaped. Like adding in a quote saying don't know what team to support buy the 20 union cap. I enjoyed learning about Advertising because it could help me in the future if l want to sell something.

Laika Summary
Today we used our skimming and scanning skills to find the information and detail we needed to write a summary. Skimming like a low flying plane. You look over the information once, (this should take about about 3 - 5 seconds). Scanning is like a helicopter, you find what it is looking for and then hover over until the information has been found. To practice these skills we created a DLO that summaries Laika's journey in Sputnik 2.
