Kiwi Can

This week for Kiwi Can we were learning about emotions and how we feel our topic was resilience. We played a warm up game which was role plays l was with Mele, Angela, Sandra and Maritea. We got a paper which said jumping off high diving board we had to role play it without talking our main forces was to do our facial expressions so people would know if we were scared.  My favorite part about this week was being able to show our  facial expressions to show how we feel to others.

This week at Kiwi Can our topic for this term is honest and our theme was integrity. Integrity is doing the write thing when no one is looking an example of Integrity is if you seen someone drop there wallet on the ground you can own up and give it back. The topic for this term is honest an example of honest is if you have done something bad like stealing you can go tell the true by taking the stuff back and telling the owner of the shop. Something l found interesting in the learning was doing role plays to show what Integrity and honest was to us.

This week for Kiwi Can we were talking about Toned voiced. Our teacher was Mrs Paige. First thing we did was we talked about different kinds of toned voices like quite, loud, shy and many more. Then moved on to our activity which was fruit salad. The instructions for this game was Apple meant move your heaps to the left Pear was move your heaps to the right Watermelon was lean back and Orange was lean forward. l enjoyed this game because it tested our hearing and listening. After we played our activity we sat in a circle and talked how we used a tone voice threw that activity. Next we got into groups of 5 and we had l paper that was given to us and then we had to role play our what was on our card. l was with Jonathan, Joseph, Karol's and Milana. We did a great job and my whole group got free time.

This week for Kiwi Can our topic was positive active listening skills. Our teachers were Miss Paige and Mr Alipati. First we talked about our topic which was positive active listening skills. We all gave our ideas on what we thought  positive active listening skills was. Then we played an activity called Chop Suey their were 5 actions to this game we got into partners and listened to all the commands that Mr Alipati said. Our catch phrase was talk to me so you can see someone with positivist. We talked about how we showed positive active listening skills in this activity l said by listening to what Mr Alipati.

This week was our first week of kiwi can. Our kiwi can tutors are Mr Alabati and Ms Paige. Our Topic for this term was Positive Relationships and Positive communication. We first started off with our energizer which was called Eyes up,Eyes down. What we needed to do was get into a circle and then Mr Apait told the instructions. We then talked about some ground rules for kiwi can to keep people safe. We then went outside played a activity which was called pattern tag. l needed to communication with my pattern so we could win. Positive Relationships to me looks like some who respect others and in courage people.

This week for Kiwi Can we were recapping on what we did last week. We talked about Respect and played some activities. The first activity we played  beat the beat we went into a circle and we had to listen to what Miss Paige was telling us to do and the beat she was making we had to do the same thing if we got it wrong then we had to sit down. Then we talked about some values we have in our school and how those things could help us. After that we played another activity we got into groups and one person got a word from Mr Matt and we had to say something and our group had to guess what it was we got points along the way. l enjoyed Kiwi Can today because we got to learn about some key values that we have in our school and if there is a fight to use the values we learnt and helped them to stop fighting.

This week for Kiwi Can we were learning about Perseverance. First thing we did was we talked about this topic and how this could help us in the future or in school. l could use Perseverance when l am playing a sport for example if we are playing a game and l don't want to play it then l have to Perseverance this means to try harder and harder so we can have fun and work as a team. The next thing we did was go on the court and play a game that would show Perseverance and help us control our self when we play with other team mates. l enjoyed playing this game because some of us were getting mad even if the other team got a point put we all Perseverance and got on with the game.

This week for Kiwi Can we were learning about Resilience this means to work as a team and solve our problem. l tried hard to work as a team with my group and we all worked hard to solve our problems our self. First warm up game we did was Knot we got into our groups and we had to use our hands with our group and make a circle we used our hands to make a knot by holding hands we then started to see who would win the challenge put everyone gave up we all felt bad put we tried to work as a team. The next game we played was Catching Monkeys what we needed to hit the people in the middle with a ball. The ball had to hit them knees and legs down the winner of the game was Freeman.

Today we had Kiwi can our value was accountability. What a accountability is it talks about talking responsibility for our own actions and at PBS we talk about looking after our netbooks keeping them charged and staying focus when ever we are working. The challenges we played were copy me. First we had to get in to groups for this and Mr Matt had the cards so for each card there was a list of what you had to do. Joseph was our leader for the cards so he had to get a card from Mr Matt and find it on the board to see what we had to do some of them were we had to do the fornite dance and star jumps those were some of the things we did. The next challenge we did was Green light for this we got into pairs and one person was at the back of you so when ever Mrs Lily said green we had to switch places. and when ever she called out red light we had to jump on the other persons back the next one was yellow for that we had to sit on the persons leg.

This week for Kiwi can our topic was doing the right thing when no one is looking and our theme was integrity. The first game we played was called fruit combo. Fruit comb is a game that uses fruit for instructions instead if using words that you would use in another game. For the instructions Apple was to move forward and Orange was to turn around so you face the other person that was behind you and Banana was to move back. After that game we were talking about people in our life who have shone integrity and doing the right thing when know one is looking. Some of us said teacher,mum,dad and grandparents. Then we did a knowledge game for this we answered some questions and to answer we had to say bang. l really enjoyed Kiwi can this week and l learnt how to do the right thing when know one is looking.

This week our new kiwi can teachers were Miss lily and Mr Matt for kiwi can it was our first kiwi can for the year the first thing we did was we played change different place if in this we had to get into a Circle and someone would be in the middle and say change if you have black socks on then everyone would change space if they did if they did't then they stay where they are we were playing that for a short time then we played a acting game we had to act out if some  ones left out and others were playing games someone had to come in and tell them if they wanted to play then we played a game we went to the courts and played a game  and we had 3 terms and we had to have one term with pips on and we had to pace it to the other person and they had to try and tag the other term.

Today for Kiwi Can we started of with a game. First we had to get into peers and you also had to number one A-B. I was with angela . Mrs Lautila gave us actions and words to say. There 3 things we had to do and say at the same time. We had a practice round then we had real game. I was exited  because who ever were the last ones to go back to your spot then you and your partner has to sit down. Also if you don't do the right action then you have to sit down with your partner. After the game we had to get into GKQ because there wasn't enough time to do the other games.

Today for kiwi can we started off with our catch phrase I respect you you respect me we respect everybody that was our catch phrase we were talking about respect and then we played a game that game was flip it this is how you have to play the game you are split into two groups and then we have to put cones on the ground and then one side had to flip the and the other side had to flip it the other way and who ever had o most won the second game that we played was GKQ it was when we had to go in a circle and we had to stand up and answer a question and they would give us something to say if we had the question in our head then we did our kiwi can like things that we do it goes like this kiwi can says kiwi can shoo.

Today for kiwi Can we were playing to games and they were all about respect and we played this game which you had to put up your left hand and put it in the middle of the crile and then you had to put your other hand on some one us hand then you have to get out of it and see if you win the boys won and then we went outside and played this game where you had to hold the play then you had to put on the ground and then that counts as one point so then when yoou do that you throw it to someone and then they do the same thing and you have to do it five times.

Today for kiwi can we first we spit up into groups l was in group 2 and then we got into our first energizer it was called All about me we had to get a paper each and then we had to right 3 or 4 things that we like and l rote l like going to the movies and going to the beach and going on air plane l did 3 things and then they would read them out and we had to guest who it was our catch phrase was  R E S P E C T Find out what it means to me and we were learning about RESPECT.

Today on Wednesday we went to Kiwi Can and Mr Malu and Miss Latoya weren't there. There was two new Kiwi Can teachers named Mr Latu and Mrs Pipiha. We did a greeting and went straight to our energiser. It was called 
So we had to get in a circle and Mr Latu would point at us and say one of the actions and we would have to do it.
After that we were having a little session about what challenges mean.
Then we played a game that was really intense. We had a hoop and three cones. We had to toss the hoop in the cones. There was one cone close to you - 10 points, second cone a little bit far - 20 points, the third one was really far - 50 points. It was a challenge for the whole school.

LI:  What is self control and how to use it.I learnt that self control is when you control your emotions and what you do.I learnt this by going to kiwi can and playing games that had included Self control.We first played Bip Bop Bounce then we had to talk about where is any risky actions is in the school or around the school.The other game we played was called all aboard.All aboard is when you have a rope formed.

This week for Kiwi Can we Talked about self control.We played Three activy. The first activy was bing bong bounce.What we had to do was if Mrs Latioa said bing bong bounce then we say bang but if she just say bounce then we don't say bang.The next activy was GKQ what we had to do was answers the question that Mr Wong or Mrs Latioa said.I think this was fun because  we had to control our self and considerate.The next game we played was called hand cricle what we had to do was if Miss Latioa calped  her hand on the left then the next person dose it agina but if that person claped 2 times then we had to go the other way.

Today for kiwi can we were talking about emtion and how they work you can do emtion in any way feelings are good some times and some times they are not good like when you get mad you are not having a good feeling and when you are happy you are having a good feeling.
