Activity 3: I Have a Dream

Today l did Activity 3 day 2 which is all about how in America there would laws against white and black people. For this activity we were to consider the problem that black men and women faced in America at this time and describe the problem that was happening. What did Rosa Parks do about the problem? How did other people react? I have talked about Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks and the problem of black and white people. I really enjoyed learning about this problem that today we don’t have because they changed all of that by simple act of kindness.

  1. Hi Avalon! This activity on your blog really caught my attention. Racism is definitely one of the biggest problems in the world still to this day. People of a different race are discriminated and excluded by another, which any race is no better than another. I'm glad you decided to talk about what Rosa parks and Martin Luther King Jr did. These are both icons who have relation to the civil rights movement and made impact on the world. This was a great post, well done!

  3. Kia Ora Avalon!,
I have enjoyed reading your DLO about both Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King. I think they are brilliant protesters, who stood up for themselves and for other people. Everyone should have equal rights, no matter what race or religion they are. What's something you would protest about?

    Fantastic Work!

  4. Hi Avalon,
I found it interesting that you said we could Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks are the main reasons for segregation being abolished. I also liked how you said that it was interesting to learn about the two of them, and the problem between black and white people back then. Would you be able to stand up for yourself like those two did?
