Activity 1: Everyday Heroes

Today i was doing activity 1 day 5, week 2 for the Summer Learning Journey. For this i was too brainstorm at least five ways we could support the people who are affected by the fires in New South Wales, Australia. I enjoyed doing this because it must be really bad time for them and i could find some ways to support them and also i enjoyed reading about the fire that is going on in Australia.

  1. Hi Avalon, this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the Infographic you shared about the NSW heroes... sometimes being a hero can be hard and dangerous too. Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  2. Hey Avalon! These are some really good ways to support/help the situation. Wild-fires are very scary, dangerous, and can spread. I think it's really good people doing all that they can to help and stay safe. How do you think these Wild-fires might be caused? Good job!

  3. Hi Avalon!,
It looks like you have been active and positive in the Summer Learning Journey activities. I have enjoyed reading about the ways you could help and support these affected people and the bush fire too. I think these ways would really help Australia and the affected people. If you chose one most important way to help these affect people, what would it be?

    Nice Work!

  4. Kia ora Avalon! Olive here! It's still windy in Auckland, the palm trees outside my window are going crazy!

Thank you for your blog post! I've thoroughly enjoyed reading your work so far! You've suggested some really thoughtful ways of how we can help support the Australian people and animals in this situation! It's a really tough time to be a hero! Firefighting bush fires are super dangerous. Ka pai on all your effort!

Remember you need to include a video recording of yourself reading your reasons and explaining why you chose them. We can't award you full points unless you do this. Please edit your blog post and let us know in the comments when you've done this! Can't wait to see what you've gotten up to!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive

  5. Hi Avalon,
I liked how you said that we could help Australia by sending some of our firefighters over, and make sure that everyone is safe from the fires. Would you want to go over and fight the fires in Australia?
    Keep up the great work
