Winter Learning Journey

To day what we learned about on the Winter Learning Journey was facts about New Zealand that was the first task was to find some facts about New Zealand and we have to find things about New Zealand on the website here are the 3 facts I find we had to find 3 facts we had to say it in diffence words not in the same words.

1.  New Zealand is a small country, similar in size to Great Britain.
2.  Māori were the first to arrive in New Zealand, journeying in canoes from Hawaiki about 1,000 years ago.
3   In 1840, the Treaty of Waitangi was signed, an agreement between the British Crown and Maori.

Alice Jack and the tortoises

They was a little tortoise whose name was Alex he was small put as he was getting older he was getting bigger. Then when he was older he was big that means that he was big enough to go out into the wild. In the forest they came these little kids named Alice and Jack They were 9 and 10 the girl was 10 years old and the boy .Was 9 years old they loved to come into the forest it was wild and peace full.
Problem

Put the problem is that they could not find someone to play with when they were in the wild forest they were always .bored and always sad.
Events

Then as they were walking around at night in the wild forest they heard something go ahhhhhh it was a big tortoise .They were screaming and then they stopped for a moment and then they looked up and saw a scar tortoise that was green and big. lt was friendly when they went up to it they thought .It was going to hurt them and they said that this was going to be they friend and they called it sebastian.
Solution

The solution was they became friends and was very happy that they find a friend called sebastian Alice and Jack looked .After him and they were happy forever because they find a friendly friend.
Today what we learned to do was a narrative we had to make a story on this pitcher that was of a  tortoise and of to kids which are a little girl and a little boy we had to write about the them and what I learned was that it is easy to write with the Story organiser.

This is how we talked about what we were doing and how we were going to go onto each thing for each group what we did was we got into for groups and then were had to watch this video in class then we had to say what we learn.On this is when we had to use plastic to create a football fled out of plastic first thing we did was talk about what we were going to do and then we made the foot ball fled we glued it all down. On this one we had to talk about how we could reuse plastic and how we can make cothers out of them you can make bags cothers.

Today what we learned was about Matariki we had to do a Matariki Animation I had fun doing this is how I did it was by knowing how to  Animation on a goggle sidles and how it works I did a person l side of my Animation and I also did some clouds and sun and grass and the ground.

Fraction

To solve Addition question’s using tidy numbers and place value Attempt to problem solve subtraction questions using the same strategies Convert mm-cm-m-km, ml-l, g-kg Today We were learning about Fraction my group had to do Fraction and we had to do the Measurement on the Fraction pies what I learned was that you have to measure it good so you can do measurements good in all the measurements that you do at school what I learned was that you can make it good if you listen.

Commenting

Today I did blog commenting I did it on Kaitlyn blog and I did it on her haunted house story I said somethings on her blog that she could improve in her writing and what she could do good on.

It all began in the woods far away where they was two girls whose names were Ava she was a little girl who was 6 years old they was another girl who’s name was Isabella she was the little girl's mum they lived in the woods far away in the Wild. The house was old and the garden was not that clean at all and at the Front they could not clean it up by them self  the family said that they could not come down to where they live because it would be too far.

The problem is that they have to drive far to get staff for the house like some food.And they have to clean up the garden in the front and at the back and also is because the little girl Ava gets scary of where they going .To be living and how she has to stay in a room by herself when she has to go to sleep it is dark and scary for her.

The Events is that they live by themselves and that they have to make sure the house is clean before the people come over and see the new house that they got.


The Solution is that they clean up the house in time for the family for when they can come over for dinner then.The family comes over one day and helps to clean up the garden adds some new flowers to the garden and waters the planes they repaint  the house to a new white colour and adds some bark to the driveway and the girl felt happy to be in a nice house again

What I learned about was Scar house we had to write a story on a photo I did not make mine Scar because i did't want to do it that scary because it will go to scary and not make sentence I learned how to write a story and how I story works and how I learned it was by knowing what to do.

Today we learned how to make a Articles I did London as my Articles it was on the London fire on the tower we had to make a google drawing and then we had to put down somethings that happen in the fire and and we had to do current events and say who was involved and where did this happen and and when the event happen.

Venn diagram

What we had to do is we had to pick a article from the web site http://kiwikidsnews.co.nz/ we had to go on to this on pick a article l picked the london fire we had to pick one and then we had to talk about like people who died in that fire and 17 people died and we had to talk about who helped to make the fire go down and 200 firefighters we called in to help with the fire and 40 trucks were taken out to the places where the fire was happening and in the middle one we had to write about what was the same about this article what I learned was how to write a article and how to write about what is the same about the article how I learned it was by knowing what happen in the fire and who helped in the fire.

Ouick right

Title -The floating land
This story began in the clouds far away where there was a boy called James and his sister Sea.They lived with their granddad they lived in a big old house up above all the clouds.


Grandad built a rocket he built it from some old wood and some old glass that they had he learned how to build one then he got some paper and made up his own one . James said omg it was big enough for three people that would be enough space for all three of them.put the problem was that it didn't work at all and James was thinking of a good idea to fix it and see if it worked out in the air put then granddad said no because it still would notIt didn’t  work after all that hard work James said see about that if I get it fixed and done before next week. Can we fly it around granddad said deal.

Then James got on to work day after day he would fix it then it came to that day and they turned all the.Switches on the machine it started to make a loud noise then light flashed from the side and doors opened wide.


They went into the door that opened and got in they sets and flew off the floating land and granddad.Was flying the rocket granddad said how did you fix it with a little bite of help from sea we wanted to see you happy after all you were mad everyday so we thought this would make you happy.

What - What is happening is that the boy takes off with the rocket.
How - How it happened was that James took the rocket.

Today we learned how to write Ouick would teach us how to write Ouick we had to write a story about a floating land I talked about who was on the floating land and what they want to be they were to kids and they had a granddad who bulite a rocket what I liked was it takes time to write a story and what we learned was how to write and how I learned it was by taking by time.

Today We did reading for reading I had to do raz kids what I read was Sammy stuffit that was the name of my book that I read on raz kids we had to read a book and then we had to answer questions and then read it again this story was about a boy who would away buy things and then buy house to store them inside he would buy some junk and then he would buy a house to store it in.

Mummy bear saw that baby bear was going to fall off the hill he flew of the hill and was falling down. He was up in the air mummy bear called him and she said baby bear baby bear jump into my hands so I can catch you. Baby bear could not hear mummy bear baby bear was looking down to see what he was going to land on he was going to land on the smooth ice he landed on the ice and was so scared because he just flew of a hill then mummy bear was so happy that he made it down safe.

We learned about was complex sentences in stories and we also talked about events what is a complex sentences is subject,object,verb put they all have to be like a complex sentences what it have in it is first you have to get a word like Subject and make sure that it has a capital letter at the front then you have to make sure that you have another sentence to go with that then it would make Subject is a word that has a capital letter How I learned it was by knowing what a complex sentence is and what it has in it and what a events has in it.

Solution

Baby bear felt happy because mummy bear came to save him from in the lake. He felt so cold and freezing he had water on himself. It was like a  fluffy soft body put his body Was like water mummy bear was making. Baby bear warm from all that water and was making the water come off his cold. frozen body He was cold like ice and fluffy like clouds mummy bear saved him when she. Saw him drop into the water and mummy bear jumped like a kangaroo and splashed into the water she grabbed baby bear from under water and went on to the icy cold water and was helping him to breath. And then he got up and was helping mummy bear catch dinner and never went up the hill a again.
