Kiwi can

Today for kiwi can we started of with a warm up game our warm up game was power walking game we had to get into a circle and we had a number each and my number was 2 and when ever Mr Mate called our name out we would have to go and we had to speed walk not run and we had to speed walk and we had to go in the middle and go to the hula hoops and stand inside of them and who ever was the last one they were out and that was our warm up game and our topic was positive relationships.

Whakatauki


Today we were doing a whakatauki poster we were writing down what our whakatauki means for our school l wrote it and l put a meaning of what they mean and l put some Maori people in and l made mine with a man doing the haka and a girl that was wearing a Maori necklace and with a band around her head.

Place value



This week for maths we were doing place value and we did a video on how to do a place value strategy l did a video on how to do a place value strategy l liked did this strategy because it is easy to solve and easy to use this strategy.

This week we were doing Olympic motto we were making a google drawing that had PBS values Olympic values and Olympic motto we had to put the PBS logo and the Olympic flag we did the Olympic greed and PBS motto me Savelina Carl and John were working together.

This week for reading we did Reciprocal Reading we were reading the book Constructing big air ever this week l did't get a turn to be the leader put l am going to be the leader next week  what Reciprocal Reading is it when they is a leader is they ask you questions about the book.

Place value



Today for maths we were learning how to do a place value we had to make a goggle sidle and we had to make a video on how to do it and we had to show how we did it.

Today we went to Tamaki collage we had to split up into 3 groups they was a year 7 group a year 8 B and A groups one group went to Art another group went to technology and l went to the wooden work and l teacher was Mr grundy he was talking to us about all of the safety rules around us was a lot of wooden toys and machines we were not going to use wood we were going to use meltly and we were going to make necklaces we were going to melt the meltly and then get some wood and draw your design on it then get one peace of wood and cut that out with a machine and then we had to get 2 other peace's and put them on each side so when you put in the meltly melt it doesn't all come out and make a big mess then you would wait until it was cool down you would pull it out and that is what we did at the wooden work class.

Kiwi Can

This week our new kiwi can teachers were Miss lily and Mr Matt for kiwi can it was our first kiwi can for the year the first thing we did was we played change different place if in this we had to get into a Circle and someone would be in the middle and say change if you have black socks on then everyone would change space if they did if they did't then they stay where they are we were playing that for a short time then we played a acting game we had to act out if some  ones left out and others were playing games someone had to come in and tell them if they wanted to play then we played a game we went to the courts and played a game  and we had 3 terms and we had to have one term with pips on and we had to pace it to the other person and they had to try and tag the other term.

Today for Inquiry we were doing mascots  and we had to compar 2 mascots that were from 2018 and from 1984 you did't have to do 1984  me and savelina worked on the 1984 and carl and john worked on the 2018 one soohorang.

Making Connections

Today for reading we were doing making connections we had our task text to self text to world and text to text on the first one we had to say where we have seen it and text to world was you had to say where it snowed and text to self was if you have seen it or not if you haven't seen it then you could write that l haven't seen snow but l would like to see snow.

Today for inquiry we made a Venn Diagram we had to compare 1924 winter Olympics to modern Olympics and in the middle we had to write what was the same for both of them and we wachted a video on 1924 and that showed us what they did back they and what they do now for winter olympics.

Today we had to make a blog post Analysis we had to make a graph and we had to say on it how many post have we done these years then we had to make a google drawing and we had to add our graph onto it after that we had to add two boxes and we had to say how many we did or say if we did good or not then on the other boxes we had to write down our achievements that we can do over 2018.

I wondered where we were going yet l could see where we were.

I learnt how to write a recount.What i had to do was i had to write about my holiday. I also used 7 sentences to help me write it.We learnt some new words and we had to ues words to get extra points they were Smile,Metaphor,hyperbole and personification.
