  1. Hello Avalon, my name is Billy and I am from the Summer Learning Journey programme. I'm glad to see that you have already begun completing and posting activities. Well done!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on whether or not you would like to give flax weaving a go. I am impressed to read that you are willing and open minded. I think it would required a lot of time, patience and skill.

What sort of things would you like to create?

    Thanks, Billy.

  3. Hello Avalon! It's great to see you posting on the Summer Learning Journey. I would also like to try weaving with flax once too. I can be all sorts of creative with what I weave which makes it sound fun. I like your reasoning for wanting to try it as well. Have you ever had experience trying it before? Keep it up!

  4. Hello Avalon,
Great to see you posting!. I like how you are taking risk by trying flax weaving because I know it is hard. What would you like to learn if you were to weave today? Keep it up!

  11. Hi Avalon
I have just returned from my holiday and have had a look through your SLJ activities. What a fantastic amount of work you have done! Which was your favourite activity? I love that you chose that you would like to do weaving. I love weaving the harakeke and will make sure we do this as a practical activity when we learn about writing a procedural text this year. Great work :)
