This week one of the things that I needed to do with my group was research about Nugget Point Lighthouse me and my group had to add in the Height,Construction Materials,Where it would be Visible from,Type of lights, When it was Built and the power source.The lighthouse that we were given was the Nugget point lighthouse, which is located in Otago. The lighthouse is 148 years old. l was working with Alex,Ofa and Joshua W these were the people that were in my group. Alex was drawing some images of a lighthouse with people on it he draw New Zealand and a boat with a person in it. We added some links and a photo of what Nugget Point Lighthouse.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teacher is Mrs Anderson.

M&M Question Slide
This week for math the task was to work in our groups and create a DLO showing results from our M&M packets compared to how many Mars Co. The other things that we needed to do were write down some interesting facts about M&Ms, a brief history of the company and which colour we chose as our favourite. l chose the colour green because l thought that there was going to be more green M&M's inside of the packet but in our packet there were more yellow out of all of the colours. For this task l worked with Alex,Ofa and Joshua W.

Ballad poem - Inchcape rock
This week we have been looking at a Ballad poem. What a Balled poem is and tells a story we looked at the Inchacape rock there was a man called Sir Ralph he was the bad person in the poem because their was a bell ringing and ringing it was on a lnchcape float it was warning them that they were about to hit rocks. Put Sir Ralph bent over from the boat and he cut the bell from the Inchcape float. l added the meaning of what verse 9 means and added a photo of it.

Unicycle Riding
This week for reading we were learning about Unicycle Riding. For this we put a video of what it looks like to ride a unicycle l added a video of a man riding a Unicycle Riding on a rope this video was great because l would have never thought that people would have thought of making a Unicycle Riding. l learnt that Why you can't call a Unicycle a one wheeled bicycle is because Unicycle is one word and bicycle is another word.

Making Connections
Today for reading l was doing Making Connections for this our reading group was reading a book called Ready Steady Snack this book is a fiction book. This book was about a boy called Josh he liked to eat Junk food he loved to run but he doesn't do training a lot. Because he spends to much time watching tv. His mum tells him he needs to stay fit and healthy so he can run fast but he doesn't listen so he gets sucked into the tv show which is called Ready Steady Snack. l enjoyed reading this book because l hate eating healthy l like eating junk food so this shows that l should eat healthy.

DigTech - Project - ltianl Planning
ln DigTech today we started the ltianl Planning for our DigTech Project. This included completing the following tasks that we were making which was an animate on the tamki area. The purpose of the Context Brainstorm is to remind us what the tamki area is.The purpose Contrapuntal Statement is to learn who to write a statement about you creating and what the ages are. The Last one we did was the planning time frames for this we were using a time frame to help us with the times and the list of work we are going to be doing throw out the term.
