What is special about where you live

This week l was working on my 2nd task for the Summer Learning Journey. For this task l was talking about what is special about where l live. l wrote down something to explain What is special about where l live. l like where l live because everyone is quite and their are not that much gang stuff around our area. l added images of what my community looked like and my street. l think l have done a great job and have told the truth about my area. That it isn't perfect everyday it is quite and sometimes people have bad things. l hope you enjoy my blog post about What is special about where l live.

My name is Izzy and I am one of the team with the Summer Learning Journey that gets to read your blog.

Your neighbourhood sounds like a wonderful place to live. I love how you talk about the way your community looks out for each other and how you all work to treat everyone with kindness. That is so important!

What is your community centre like? What kind of activities do you do there?

I live in Mt Roskill which is also a very culturally diverse area. I absolutely love it. There are always different cultural celebrations happening and if I’m ever hungry, there are food choices from all over the world to eat.

What kind of things do you like to do in your community? Do you have a local park that you go to? Is there a beach that your family likes to travel to?

I look forward to reading more of your blog posts over the summer.

    E noho rā,
    Izzy

  3. Kia ora Avalon! My name is AJ and I go to Christ The King school. I am also currently participating in the Summer learning journey. I really liked how you have written a detailed description about where you live and how you explained what your neighbours do for others, and how they all help each other! I love how you wrote that we all have our own cultures because I absolutely agree, and think that we should all embrace them. Do people in your neighbourhood often visit the community centre?

Here's a link to my blog where you can check out some of my SLJ posts too: http://ctkajb.blogspot.com/
