Inference in Maths

This week in Math we have been learning how to Inference in Maths to do this we created this DLO to tell others about what Inference. I was working with Florence for this DLO. The definition of inference is when you have a math question or a question to answer then you inference to find the hidden answer in the text.  

Blog Post Data Analysis

This week we created our blog post analysis. We were finding out about our blog post totals through out the years. We all created a DLO that reflected on our blog post totals and what the average of the numbers were. l first started with making my graph to show the years of me blogging as you can see from my graph 2017 was my best year out of all the years and 2015 was my worst year of blogging. Then l wrote about each year and added in a statement to answer why l didn't or why l did blog on that month or year. l wrote my goal of blogging, mine was to hit 1000 blog posts by the end of this year and l wrote how l can do this. The last thing l did was l wrote the average of each number beside it. l think that l did good with my school blog posts on my netbook. Most of my blog posts are made to a high standard and all our work is great to read. l really enjoyed making this blog post analysis because it showed all the work l did through out the years l have been her. 

Addition

This week for Maths we were answering some Addition question. Mr Wong Created a Challenge for Mrs Anderson maths group. What I needed to do first was make a copy and then answer the questions on the sheet.  We could use any strategies to solve this. I used algorithm and tidy numbers. 

Adding Decimals

This week For maths we were making a DLO about How to Add Decimals. What you need to do first is write you equation. My equation will be 3.1 + 6.3. The aim is to make a whole number. Add something to one of you numbers to make a whole number. For this equation I will add 2 to the 3.1 and that will make 3.0.Then I need to take away .2 form the 6.3 because we took the .2 and gave it to 3.1. Then add 3.0 and 6.3 and your answer should be 9.40. For our book we needed to go on the class site and go on the maths to find out what the question were. Then we needed to answer the questions. This was easy because I understand how the questions and strategy worked.

Algorithm Strategy

Today for maths we were learning how to use a Algorithm Strategy to help us in our maths. We were using our Place Value to helps us with adding big numbers. l find it easy to use Place Value because l know how to use Place Value. This DLO shows why we needed to carry the tens In the hundreds Coloum this DLO shows you How to solve it. 

Multiplication Quiz

Today we were playing Multiplication Quiz for maths. l was trying to get a lot of money so l could be the highest and get them all right. l find some of them easy and hard put l enjoyed playing this because this techs me more of my Multiplication and helps me with my learning.

Division Strategy

Today for maths we were leaning how to use a new strategy to help us work out maths question. l picked to do 85 divided by 5. This was hard to do put l learnt how to do it l used my 10 time table knowledge to work it out. l find it easy because l already knew how to do my 10 time table so it would be easy to do with 10 time table.

9x time tables DLO

This week for maths we created a DLO showing our understanding of solving our 9x time table using 10 time table. On my DLO l added a strategy and a example to show it different kinds of ways and l even added it step by step so people would know how to do it. l explained how to do this so people could read it and try and do this strategy them self. For this l learnt how to use my 10 time tables to do my 9x time table.

Measuring Angels Using a Protractor

This week for maths we were learning about measuring angles using a protractor. Maths was fun what we were learning about was we were making a DLO on how to use a protractor. l wrote words that were on measuring l put a photo of what a 90 degrees looks like. l talked about a 90 degrees angle and How to use a protractor.

Pencil code - Maths

This week for maths l went onto Pencil code. l tried to create a shape using Pencil code but l did't really get they  it was really hard to do and l used my. Maths skills and my angel skills to try and make up a shape pencil code was really easy to use you had to try and remember these words Vertex,Reflex,Full Turn/ Rays,Obtuse,Right,left,Backwards,Straight,forwards.

Place value

Today for maths we were learning how to do a place value we had to make a goggle sidle and we had to make a video on how to do it and we had to show how we did it.

Question's and Answer

Today for maths we had to go onto someone maths work from last week and we had to work them out l did Angela and l did mine with counters and on a white board l think l did great and how l did it was by using counters and adding takeing away and equal that is how l worked out all of these things what l had to do was l had to pick somebody one and work on it and try and work out all of the answer l think l have got all of them write what l learned was that it is easy to takeaway and add and equal.

Fruit LS1 likes graph

Today for maths we had to make a graph on what LS1 likes they was other,plum's,pear,apple,banana, those where the fruit that they could pick out of or if they did't like any of them then they have to say other so if someone said mango then you have to write down other put you have to put a question bark so it is easy to do and we had to make a graph for all of this what l learnt was that it is easy to do a graph and how l did this was by knowing what to do and how to do it 

Maths plan

LI: To create a piece of art using: rotation, translation, and reflection.

Today for maths we were doing art we had to work in our groups and we has to pick some Maori designs and some other pitcher's we had to go into our maths group and we had to find some pitcher's and then we had to pick a art work and we had to put it on our name because Mr O made this google doc and put all of our name's on it and then we had to put our pitcher that we picked and we had to put it on our name and then after we did that we had to go onto prodigy.

LI- Reflection, Rotation and Translation or Flip Slide Turn

I learnt about what Reflection,Rotation and Translation. They are the same as Flip,Slide and Turn.I learnt it by doing this task.What we had to do was we had to create a google slide or Draw to show how to Flip,Slide,Turn,Reflection,Rotation and Translation.

3D shapes

Today for maths we were talking about 3D shapes and we had to make shapes we made a cube,cylinder,prism,pyramid,Cone,square based pyramid so those were that shapes that we were doing and making they all have a face and a side and a edge we did 6 in a row in our maths groups we were learning how to make them and we had to do this without any one to help us to do it l did a cylinder.

This is my fraction on 1/2 1/4 1/8 and 1/6 we had to recreat from what we did last week we had to do the same thing and photos put just change around some of the words and numbers l changed my words and my numbers that i had before what l learned was that fraction is easy and it is not hard to do.
