This week at Kiwi Can our topic for this term is honest and our theme was integrity. Integrity is doing the write thing when no one is looking an example of Integrity is if you seen someone drop there wallet on the ground you can own up and give it back. The topic for this term is honest an example of honest is if you have done something bad like stealing you can go tell the true by taking the stuff back and telling the owner of the shop. Something l found interesting in the learning was doing role plays to show what Integrity and honest was to us.

Tech at Tamaki college was awesome we went to food tech and made cottage pie. l was cooking with Mele and Nyjah. First we go into groups and organised all the things that we would need to make the pie. l started dicing the onion really small, Mele and Nyjah were peeling the potato and adding it into the bowl. After we did this l added the oil and onions to the pan. Then we mashed the potato up until it was nice and smooth. After this we added our Vegetables, Mince and BBQ sauce all together. Our challenging part for our group was too dived the pie at the end and the Cottage pie was really nice when we got to eat it at the end.

Ballet
This week we had Ballet with Chloe from the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Chloe showed us the black swan dance. This dance was based on Swan Lake Chloe taught us the sequences from the current performance that they have done which was Black swan. I really enjoyed learning about ballet and getting to try it for the first time. The music that we used was a classical Tchaikovsky which is a piece that was named after Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky because he composed operas. I liked the song a lot because it show cased a nice and beautiful piece's. Chloe gave us a lot of advise and tip's when we were dancing one of the tip's was to commit to the movement to get the best effect. My Favorited part about the ballet was learning new effects and shapes trying to be more out there with our movements and creative.
I would like to say a big thank you to Chloe for teaching us the ballet dance from black swan and choreograph. Another Thank you too Mrs Jones for giving us this opportunity to dance and learn something that we have never done before.

Student led conference
Today we had our Student led conference. I invited my grandfather to come so l could show my learning to him. I really enjoyed showing him my art about camp that we all made because it represented something that we did this term which was going to camp and making friends and connection with other's. Next moved across the room to show him the stuff that we have been doing in Writing, Reading, Maths and inquiry this term. Then l moved to the tv and showed him how much blog post l have done this year. My favorite one that l showed him was my groups animation that we made about Yuri Gargrin. My favourite about the Student led conference was that l was able to share my learning with my grandfather.
